ISP Technician responsible for migration/cutover in over 590 communications closets. Also completed all ISP redlines, as-built drawings, and deliverable packages.

Block 30  Palo Alto Firewall upgrade Yokota, Osan, and                                          Vandenberg  Air Force Bases

             (June 2012 to July 2012)

ISP Technician responsible for Palo Alto firewall manager installation and upgrade to the existing Block 30 suites at Yokota, Osan, and Vandenberg Air Force Bases.

                       2GWLAN for the Air Force

              (May 2011 to July 2011)

Responsible for installation, testing, and implementation of Second Generation wireless technology comprised of combining multiple digital data streams into one signal. Travis AFB and Nellis AFB. 

                       Air National Guard ITS Upgrades

              (January 2011 to March 2011)

              Site Manager/ISP& OSP Lead responsible for providing everything necessary to ensure the transmission of voice, video, and data information. This includes associated capital infrastructure improvements necessary to meet quality-of-service requirements, as well as design, training, maintenance, and operation of said infrastructure. Also responsible for Outside Plant design and implementation of the manhole oriented conduit system, including directional boring when necessary.

          

     

SRA International

              (April 2010 to January 2011)

Project/ Site Manager for the Navy’s Wireless Pier Connectivity System(WPCS) for the Northwest. This project focused on installation effectiveness and improvements in shore installation management. This in turn reduces manpower and support costs, as well as installation costs using wireless technology.

This technology provides a viable means of extending communications between points where wired connections are restricted due to costs, difficulty, or areas where wire deployment is just not feasible, for example, in locations near airfields, or across battlefields and expanses of water. Utilizing this wireless solution, WPCS allows Navy ships to initiate connectivity to the pier while still up to three miles out at sea.

 

General Dynamics Information Technology

              (June 2006 to April 2010) Navy and Air Force Systems CITS Block 30

                            Redesign and implement the Air Force unclassified (Non-Secure Internet

Protocol Router Network, or NIPRNET) and classified (Secret Internet Protocol Router Network, or SIPRNET) network operations/information assurance (NO/IA)systems. According to Air Force organizational objectives.

*Direct new technology, strategic planning and alignment of IT with organizational objectives.                      

                            *Network engineering with knowledge of Windows Server 2003 platform, 

                            Cisco routing and switching, firewalls, as well SAN-based backup and

                            replication.

Trillion Digital Communications

              (March 2005 to June 2006)

                            Project manager for one of the nation’s largest providers of “last mile”              

                            wireless technology.

                            Responsible for installation, commissioning, testing, and integration of                                         various types of RF equipment. Wireless links up to 40 miles were                                                       frequently installed.  Radios frequently installed during this time were                                          orthogon, ceragon, terebeam, proxim, tranzeo, and redline.  5.8ghz up                                          to 18ghz.

              *  ISP: Installed tie cables and punch down blocks in over 80 buildings.

              *  Networking: Optical and copper cutover and migration in over 80    

                 buildings.

(July 2002- November 2002) CITS Contract New Boston ATS Nashua, NH.

              *  Participated in all aspects of this project. OSP: providing a man hole               

                      oriented conduit system.

              *  ISP: backboards, cabinets, inner duct, populating racks.

              *  Networking: Optical cutover in over 15 buildings.

*  Finishing touches on ISP phase of the contract (backboards, cabinets,

    copper pathways and connectivity.

            *  Finishing touches on the OSP phase of the contract (copper and fiber).

      (April 2000-September 2001) - Field Representative Senior Specialist in Field Engineering Under the Genuity Contract in the Southeast

    Responsibilities included but were not limited to:

*    Supervision, installation, equalization, and operation of various       telecommunications equipment such as Juniper, Redback, and Cisco Routers, Cienna Core Director Systems,               Fujitsu, Titan, and Lucent Systems.

                        *    Fiber Splicing using Fujikura fusion splicer.

                        *    Construction of new Tennant Improvement facilities from start-up to            initial structured wiring and fiber guide assembly (specifically the ability to read and follow blue prints with the knowledge of specific construction codes).

                        *    Inside and Outside Plant power cuts.

*    Accountability for construction crews up to eight persons.

*    Daily correspondence with project managers and engineers for both         

      Genuity and its customers.

*    General responsibility for the integrity, reliability, and security of the            

      network extending from Nashville, TN to Tallahassee, FL with a total    

      of twelve sites.

                        *   Maintenance and daily operations of Genuity’s central office.

Cypress Network Systems (1998- April 2000) - Senior Technician

            *   Installation, commissioning, and provisioning of Nortel equipment (OC3, 12,48,192).

                        *   One of the first if not the first to install a Nortel OPtera LH.

            *   Installation of a variety of fiber and power distribution bays.

            *   Equalization of rings throughout various networks.
